Up and Deal is being hosted by Lethbridge’s most entertaining and
Dynamic Duo. Guess Who? It’s Magoo...Trap/door radio personality and
sophisticated debonair extraordinaire! His cool attitude stands in
sharp contrast to his co-host...the fiery and frenetic dynamo that is
the ‘Dragon’. While he’s breathing fire, you’ll be holding your breath
in wonder and amazement!
The event will consist of live music
with a live auction/raffles for items donated by local businesses for
the Special Needs Arts Education Program at the Bowman arts Centre. Also
the ending of the silent auction of the original artwork of the playing
cards.

is a FREE event, but you can purchase a reserved seat ticket for $25
and that includes one of the unique playing card decks and some raffle

Shuffle
Up and Deal is a fund-raising drive I initiated earlier this spring.
The concept asked for visual artists to create an original work of art
based on a randomly drawn playing card, with the resulting pieces turned
into poker-sized deck. I put out a call for submissions that had a wide
response from individuals in a variety of artistic disciplines.
500
of these unique decks are getting printed, the profits from which will
be used to subsidize Special Needs Arts Education at the Bowmans Arts
Centre. I would like to thank our sponsors who helped get the cards
printed: REEVES COLLEGE, SOUTHERN ALBERTA ART GALLERY, UNIVERSITY OF
LETHBRIDGE ART GALLERY & BOWMAN ARTS CENTRE.
I am looking for
donations/prizes to be auctioned off at the fund-raising event held at
the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Wednesday, November 10. The evening will
feature the ending of the silent auction for the original artwork, the
live auction of the prizes donated and live music.
I am also looking for locations to sell the dateless and timeless playing card decks.
