The Lethbridge Symphony orchestra’s chamber series continues this week with Romantic reflections.
Featuring 2009 Young Artist competition winner Matthew Blackburn on piano, Musaeus will perform J-P Jackson’s Episode for String Quartet. It is one of Jackson’s early compositions which is described as not following any serial technique, but is freely atonal.
Musaeus will also perform Elgar’s Piano quartet with Barber as well as Alexander Borodin”s String Quartet no. 2 and Puccini’s Crisantemi, which was composed for the funeral o an Italian roayal family member.
