The Void has been a solid dump bin of songs for Jon Vornbrock since
2007. The first record "Play.Make.Believe" was recorded by Jon in his
bedroom in 2007 and is now a limited pressing. A few other recordings
have been lost in piles of compact discs and tapes & may be released
in the future. An acoustic album that was recorded in December of 08
has been dug up, dusted off & released in the summer of 2012. 4
additional tracks were recorded to finish the album & 50 copies were
released. The Void has now finished it's first full band record titled
RobotSpaceLove & will be available soon.

The short version: A bunch of dudes made some tunes, played some shows and continued to do so.
Still here? Ok. Ok.
Lethbridge, Alberta's Planet Telex has roots that come from another band (Trevor Kohlman Band) and recording project (Loco Honey). In 2008, during the downtime in recording, guitarist/vocalist Tyson Wiebe and long-time friend/bassist/producer Quinton Viskup decided to record a few of Tyson's songs. That project eventually became Planet Telex and their debut album "Nova".
After a few false starts Planet Telex finally found a steady line-up with the incorporation of guitarist Eric Amundsen and drummer Mickey Hayward.
Planet Telex released their new EP "Wednesday" in summer of 2012. Riot, the last track on the EP, has been made into a music video that will launch in early 2013. A new full length album is expected in 2013.
So essentially a bunch of dudes made some tunes, played some shows and continued to do so.
Could have saved yourself some time.

We are the only bar in town featuring live music every day of the week. Canadian touring artists, local legends and new emerging artists, everyone stops here.
