The Five Singing Guys will kick off a celebration concert series recognizing Southminster United Church’s 100th anniversary on Sunday, September 22.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. and is the first of three organized to celebrate the anniversary and highlight the musical traditions of this landmark church.
The Five Singing Guys is loosely comprised of actually seven local singers, all well-known in the Southern Alberta arts community. The group consists of George Evelyn, Juran Greene, Blaine Hendsbee, McKade Hogg, David Mikuliak, Ken Rogers and Greg Sheen.
Southminster United Church has a history fully interwoven with Lethbridge. The building was constructed in 1913 and the congregation has been a vibrant part of the Lethbridge community. The beautiful facility was recently refurbished to
better showcase concerts.
