Mark Mills http://www.markmillsmusic.ca
Mark Mills began his musical career in the back seat of a 1988 GMC
Sierra van, singing along to Bruce Springsteen and Neil Diamond. His
first notable musical appearance was with Calgary's Acid Rock band
"Life-Like Cobra", birthed by the Rambling Ambassadors double bass
wizard Scott Nickless. Mark then played along side his lover Chelsea
Kindrachuk, in the Calgary based acoustic project called "Needy
Cat". After yielding their beautiful love child, and ending their civil
union, Mark Mills joined forces with Ben Toews & Francis Folnovic
to form "Hot Sweet Noise", the Power Pop rock Trio known to get people
movin and groovin all across Alberta. Francis Folnovic then yielded his
own Love child, in the autumn of 2012, leading to a Hot Sweet Hiatus.
Amongst all this Rock n Roll, love baby makin and rich life
experiences, Mark Mills found a voice, delicate & destructive,
longing to be belted through analog processors and blasted into the
ecosphere. After retreating to rural Alberta, connecting to the land,
and staring into the sun, he returns a new man, more flexible,
unpredictable, and energized on magical herbs and superfoods.
"Go Love Yourself" will be Mark's first solo record, scheduled for release early 2013.
