 (Berkshires, MA) –Moscow Ballet principal dancers, who hail from the world’s best ballet colleges and companies, premiere in North America on the 2014 World Peace tour. Anatolie Ustimov danced to critical acclaim from NY Times Chief Dance Critic in Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker in 2010 and again as Romeo in 2011. Partner Alisa Voronovas premieres with Moscow Ballet this year. Her repertoire includes principal roles in the greatest classical ballets including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and concert repertoire with contemporary as well as classical choreography. Olga Pasternak, who also premieres with Moscow Ballet in 2014, began training at 4 years old, very unusual in the former Soviet Union, graduated in 2006 from Kiev’s ballet college and in 2011 graduated from Kiev National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television with the title “Director of Classical Ballet.” 2014 is also the North American premiere of Fedir Zarodyshev who graduated from Kiev State School of Ballet and Choreography with Pasternak in 2011 and has toured to Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Japan in his short three years as principal danseur.

 

Moscow Ballet’s acclaimed Great Russian Nutcracker will be at Enmax Centre on Thursday November 13, 7:00pm. Tickets start at $30.00. Alisa Voronova graduated from the famous Kiev State School of Choreography which has also produced ballet superstar Svetlana Zakharova, now soloist with the Bolshoi Ballet, and many more.  Voronova received a diploma from the International Ballet Competition “Youth in the Ballet” in Kiev 3 years prior to graduating from ballet school and was participant of the International Ballet Festival “World Ballet Stars” in the Grand Pas contest in Donetsk, Ukraine. Anatolie Ustimov is Principal Danseur performing Nutcracker Prince and Romeo in Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet. He is Laureate of the 2009 International Ballet Competition (IBC) in Moscow and hails from Chisinau, the capitol of Moldova, a republic of the former Soviet Union.  He debuted in N America as the Nutcracker Prince on the 2010 Great Russian Nutcracker  and danced Romeo in the premiere performances of Moscow Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet in 2011.  

Olga Pasternak, who premieres in N America on Moscow Ballet’s 2014 tour, is an accomplished ballerina despite her young age. She has toured the world and performed ballet’s most challenging principal roles with skill, strength and artistic and emotional depth.  She also sang the part of a child in the ballet film “Dream Child” to music by Ravel and she sang in a gala tribute to Tchaikovsky in Japan. Olga performs as Soloist at the famous Kiev State Theater for Opera and Ballet.

Fedir Zarodyshev graduated from the highly esteemed Kiev State School of Ballet in 2011. Since then he has danced at the Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre for Children and Youth, and from his first year there he danced as Soloist. Fedir is a participant of tours around the world with the Kiev Theatre. He premieres with Moscow Ballet in the 2014 World Peace tour.
