3- 4:15 p.m. Eric Braun band http://www.reverbnation.com/ericwbraun

Eric Braun is an up and coming guitarist/singer-songwriter from Southern Alberta. From a very young age Eric was introduced to the music of blues greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, and Albert King, to name a few. The blues had a significant impact on the musical development and vocal talent of Eric who continues to acquaint himself with the music of greats such as Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Robert Johnson, and Eric Clapton. As his guitar playing advanced, Eric found further influence in singer-songwriters such as James Taylor, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot and John Mayer. These singer-songwriters helped Eric refine his own song writing craft developing his skill in elaborate and mature compositions with a gritty, yet smooth blues signature.

Eric is currently in the studio recording and preparing for a release later in the year and subsequent performances. Keep posted to reverbnation for updates for coming performances.

4:30-5:45 Driving While Blind is  a blues rock band from Lethbridge.

They formed in 2011 and perform a variety of covers from  AC DC to ZZ Top. They include Vic Brown on guitar and vocals, sometimes Frank Gutjahr, bassist Rick Maddeaux and rummer Lloyd Lush.

6-7:15 Paul Kype and Texas Flood http://paulkype.com/home

Paul Kype
A masterful guitarist, Paul has been playing guitar since the age of ten. Drawing upon the influences of guitar legends such as Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Paul has honed his skill to near perfection. He honors  the songs of the greats by playing them with amazing precision and at the same time, investing them with his own intense feeling. After his solos, it is not uncommon to see people cheering jubilantly while shaking thier heads in disbelief and awe.                                                                                                                  Originally from Abbotsford BC, Paul joined his first band " Legal Tender" at the age of sixteen, playing the bass guitar. The band was a popular band at local high school dances and festivals for 3 years when he moved to the far north for a job and a re-dedication to playing guitar rather than bass. After working in a Sawmill in Ft St John BC for 2 years, Paul decided to move back to the Lower Mainland and pursue a career as a musician                                                                                   For the following 8 years Paul played in various bands working the club circuit of western Canada, honing his guitar and vocal skills and meeting many people who would become instrumental in the formation and success of Texas Flood in the years to come.                                           In 1993 Paul formed Texas Flood with Jerry Adolphe, veteran Vancouver drummer of well known bands "Chilliwack" and " Jim Byrnes", and fellow club musician Simon Hardman. Through the nineties Texas Flood toured relentlessly ,eventually securing the Monday night slot as a house Band at The Yale Hotel in Vancouver in the year 2000, a Monday night party that lasted three year. The year 2000 was a busy one  that included a  full festival tour as a backing band for Chicago lap steel legend "Freddy Roulette" and a trip late in the year to do some shows in Austin Texas, a lifelong dream of Paul's                                                                                                                        Through his work at The Yale,  Paul struck up a friendship with Canadian rock legend  "Jerry Doucette"  and began to play second guitar in the "Doucette"  band and continues to do so to this day. Try to catch these two , both formidable guitar talents, together onstage.                                             Since relocating to Alberta in 2004, Paul has continued to work steadily with Texas Flood and as of March 2014  has just released their new CD  " Long Time Comin' ".                                                   Texas Flood is committed to keeping the rockin' blues alive.

7:30 p.m. Leeroy Stagger http://www.leeroystagger.com/

"I believe that love and understanding will right the wrongs in the world," says folk-rocker Leeroy Stagger, who certainly tries to convey the sentiment on his sixth album to date, Little Victories, set for immediate release on February 4, 2011. Released on his own label (newly minted Rebeltone Records), Little Victories showcases Stagger's penchant for evocative lyrics and inspired songwriting.

Born in Victoria, British Columbia and raised on a little island on the very west coast of Canada, Stagger spent most of his youth with his grandparents who exposed him to the world of country music. Developing his musical drive early on, Stagger formed his first punk rock band at age 18. Songwriting came shortly after with themes revolving around his childhood, traveling, relationships, substance abuse and the tribulations of life. Having collaborated with one of his icons, Danny Michel, Stagger found commercial success in the song, "Just in Case", which was featured twice on the television hit, Grey's Anatomy.

The life of being on the road and touring at a fast pace did not wear easily on Stagger, who at age 26, realized he had an alcohol problem that was affecting his ability to perform with the commitment and heart his songs demanded. Clean and sober since, Stagger has a strong desire to inspire young musicians that they do not have to succumb to the pitfalls of substance abuse, which can be prevalent in a musician's touring lifestyle.

Little Victories is Stagger's musical imprint for those who have faced difficulties, but refuse to give in. While disappointment is a part of life, we can either spin in or out, and as long as we grasp onto the sense of purpose beneath the challenges, those are indeed our own Little Victories.

9 p.m. Steve Hill http://www.stevehillmusic.com/

2015 JUNO AWARD WINNER FOR BLUES ALBUM OF THE YEAR, 2015 MAPLE BLUES AWARD WINNER FOR ELECTRIC ACT OF THE YEAR, GUITARIST OF THE YEAR, RECORDING/PRODUCER OF THE YEAR AND ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR

When it comes to one-man bands, guitarist and singer extraordinaire Steve Hill has no limits. Throughout his lengthy and intense live shows, Hill performs standing up while singing and playing guitar, with his feet playing bass drum, snare drum, hi-hats and, with a drum stick fused to the head of his trusty guitar, any other percussion within reach. With roots in blues, rock and a little bit of country, Hill performs his original songs, blues classics and, quite often, raucous renditions of Jimi Hendrix tunes.

Widely considered one of Canada’s most prolific and exciting guitarists, this multiple award winning artist recently released the much anticipated follow-up to his JUNO nominated Solo Recordings Volume 1, which also won album of the year at the International Blues Challenge in 2013. Solo Recordings Volume 2 is a step up for Hill, embracing his roots and showcasing his talents and love of blues music even further. Solo Recordings Volume 2 and its predecessor was recorded live in the studio with Hill not only on guitar and vocals, but also on bass drum, hi-hat, shakers and whatever he can do with his feet at the same time. In January 2015, Hill was awarded four coveted Maple Blues Awards including Electric Act of the Year, Guitarist of the Year, Recording/Producer of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.  Solo Recordings Volume 2 was also nominated for a 2015 JUNO Award in the Blues Album of the Year category.

Featuring tracks that are heavy and hard hitting, deep and melodic, Hill manages to nail a wide rage of emotions with his songwriting and masterful guitar playing. With eight original songs and three covers, including Little Walter’s “Hate To See You Go”, Muddy Water’s “I Want You To Love Me” and Ray Bonneville’s “Simple Things”, Solo Recordings Volume 2 is sure to please the most discerning blues lovers and music fans in general. This incredible release proves why the Montreal Gazette called Hill “the meanest guitar player in Canada” and why Vancouver’s Real Blues Magazine has referred to him as “the best young Blues guitar player in North America.”

For the past 20 years Hill has been touring and recording and has shared the stage with many of his heroes like Ray Charles, BB King, ZZ Top, Jimmie Vaughan, Hubert Sumlin, Jeff Beck and many others. Over the course of eight albums he’s explored everything from hard-rock, country, and stoner rock to folk music while always incorporating the essence of his first love, the blues.

Hill’s reputation as an exciting performer has provided him the opportunity to showcase his talents at some of Canada’s biggest music festivals, including Montreal Jazz Festival, Mont Tremblant International Blues Festival, Thunder Bay Blues Festival, Kitchener Blues Festival and more. Steve Hill is clearly at home on the stage, inviting audiences to catch a glimpse of musical madness in the form of blues and rock ‘n’ roll.
