The Forest Awaits in a Classic Tale.

A classic childhood fairy tale comes to life with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra’s fourth concert. Accompanying the orchestra will be the University of Lethbridge Opera Workshop singers in this operatic version of the Grimm Brothers’ beloved work.

Engelbert Humperdinck composed a full, lush score, completing an opera that fully brings every exciting moment to life. Hansel and Gretel is sure to provide a magical night of entertainment for all ages and walks of life. Fully staged for your viewing pleasure and sung in English for your listening pleasure, this romantic and wondrous score is a nostalgic reminder of the innocence and adventure of a child’s mind. A time when good always won out over bad, witches lived deep in the dark and scary woods, and a life sized gingerbread house was within reach.
