Carey J. Buss is a Manitoba-based singer-songwriter. He writes guitar-driven folk music in hopes of sonically emulating the freedom
of the Canadian territory, which has been compared to a cross between
Fleet Foxes and Stan Rogers. He has released two EP’s, the newest of
which drops in May of 2015 at the Times Change(d), and is entitled
“Answer The Bell”. Carey will be touring the EP throughout the summer
and fall of 2015, so look for him in a town near you!
After studying under Kaki King for a week-long guitar workshop, and
later going through another band breakup with blues-rock outfit Slam
Panda, Carey J. Buss decided to give things a shot out on his own. He
recorded his debut EP, "Haunted", in 2013; from there, Carey set to work
gigging as much as possible in Winnipeg and the surrounding area, to
continue to build his sound. Over 70 gigs later, including a tour of
Western Canada in spring of 2014, Carey has emerged with a much more
defined sound and stage act.
