Rooted in the emotional expression of the Romantic period, experience the drama, tragedy, love and nationalism this program offers. Be transported by an Overture inspired by Vitcor Hugo’s tragic drama Ruy Blas, and the youthful exuberance of Nielsen’s First Symphony. Finally, the LSO is pleased to have Lethbridge’s own Magdalena von Eccher join us in a performance of Schumann’s well loved concerto written for, and premiered by, the love of his live – his wife Clara.
