Just after Christmas and
right before New Years, 2013 wouldn't end right without gathering a ton
of ugly christmas sweater, wearing folks listening to good music and
drinking 3 dollar Pabst Blue Ribbon's!!!! A real variety show on our
hands for one hell of a night!
Ghost Factory (Calgary Folk Punk)
http://
Blending folk music with anthemic punk rock and thoughtful lyrics,
Ghost Factory has become a favorite of many bridge dwellers! He's Coming
down to help us celebrate the holiday season!
The Void (Lethbridge Rock n' Roll)
https://www.facebook.com/
Hometown heroes The Void bring their moody, sometimes alternative, Rock
n Roll stylings to the Slice! Best served with a small pizza and a beer
or six!
J.J. Thomas (Bridge City Blues Rock)
Very
excited to introduce this new talent to the Lethbridge music scene.
Featuring members from many past and prominent bands from around the
area, J.J. Thomas mixes together delta blues riffing with classic rock
energy and soulful vocals. Their debut show will be only the beginning
for this rising talent! Don't miss it!
Mormon Girls (Local Indie Rock)
https://www.facebook.com/
The ever so talented Mormon Girls will be opening up this great night
for us! The brainchild of Mickey Hayward (Guitarist, Vocalist, Drummer,
Heartthrob, Planet Telex) fuzes indie rock with a shoegazing elegance
and a bit of a rough edge. A beautiful way to start off the night! Don't
forget to pick up their "Farm Sessions" Release at this show!
Show is 5 dollars if you are wearing an ugly sweater (we have a judge)
10 dollars if you're just too cool for such a gimmick!
Monday, December 30th
Show will start at 9:00 pm
Hope to see you all there!

It’s not that I’m a nihilist; It’s just that I don’t give a shit
It’s not that I’m an alcoholic; It’s just my sobriety tends to take a hit
It’s not that I’m a communist; it’s just that I really love to share
It’s not that I’m an atheist; I just don’t think that God is there
It’s not that I’m an elitist just because I know that I’m the best
It’s not that I’m a capitalist, just poor people are meaningless
It’s not that I’m a Satanist; it’s just that I think the devil is cool
It’s not that I’m a role model; I just think you should drop out of school
Hello my name is Ghost Factory
I’ll be your entertainment for the night
Hope you all realize my opinions aren’t just great, they’re right
I take figurative statements very literally
I take jokes very seriously
I hope we can be friends

Mick Hayward - Vocals/Guitar
Tyson Wiebe - Bass/Vocals
Dave Banman - Guitar
Jon Vornbrock - Drums
What started off as a subdued solo effort by guitarist/vocalist Mick
Hayward, has turned into a much louder rendition, after a push from
friend and collaborator Tyson Wiebe. Wiebe's bass along with Dave
Banman's guitar and Jon Vornbrock's drums have turned Hayward's into
something spacier, yet more propulsive. Think indie rock with a touch of
shoegaze and hardcore and you'd be close.
The Farm Sessions,
Mormon Girls debut record will be available for purchase December 17,
2013 on cassette and digitally through Bandcamp.
The EP, produced by
Jesse Northey (Windigo, Jesse and the Dandelions, The Utilities) was
recorded in just two days at a run-down farmhouse just outside of
Lethbridge.
The Void http://www.reverbnation.com/musicisvoid
Jon Vornbrock, Rob Cooper, Dean Wilson, Johnny Little
The Void was imagined by Jon Vornbrock in 2007 after writing a handful of songs that did not fit the band he was in at the time. The first record "Play.Make.Believe" was recorded by Jon in his bedroom in 2007 and is now a limited pressing. A few other recordings have been lost in piles of compact discs and tapes but may be released in the future. An acoustic album that was recorded in December of 08 has been dug up, dusted off & released in the summer of 2012. 4 additional tracks were recorded to finish the album & 50 copies were released. The Void has now(2013) finished it's first full band record with a solid line up of Dean Wilson, Jonny Little & Rob Cooper. The album is titled RobotSpaceLove & it's available through Itunes, Amazon & Bandcamp. Search RobotSpaceLove for best results.

Not only do we have the best pizza in town, we are also the center of Lethbridge's NightLife.
We are the only bar in town featuring live music every day of the week. Canadian touring artists, local legends and new emerging artists, everyone stops here.
