This six-piece honky-tonk outfit combines olde-tyme and bluegrass sensibilities with an edge of rock and roll swagger. The Bitterweed Draw released their debut LP, Heart of the Old West, on March 9th 2012 to a sold-out crowd in Calgary, AB. With the lineup growing outside the venue and the realization that many fans would not be able to get in, the band took the concert outside. The energy in the air was so strong that the crowd grew to hundreds, while passers-by and even police officers lent their clapping hands and stomping feet to the night of song. This instant connection with fans has kept The Bitterweed Draw growing strong across Canada.
