Emerging onto the Western Canadian music scene in 2011, The Bitterweed Draw’s high energy performances have ignited crowds everywhere from large festival stages, to crowded bars, local markets, private functions, on-air radio, and whiskey swiggin’ sunrises aplenty. This six-piece honky-tonk outfit combines olde-tyme and bluegrass sensibilities with an edge of rock and roll swagger. Featuring musical medleys of electric guitar, lap steel, banjo, fiddle, infectious four-part vocal harmonies, and rhythm that keeps their audience moving all night long, this band is sure to light the barn on fire!

The Bitterweed Draw released their debut LP, Heart of the Old West, on March 9th 2012 to a sold-out crowd in Calgary, AB. With the lineup growing outside the venue and the realization that many fans would not be able to get in, the band took the concert outside. The energy in the air was so strong that the crowd grew to hundreds, while passers-by and even police officers lent their clapping hands and stomping feet to the night of song. This instant connection with fans has kept The Bitterweed Draw growing strong across Canada. With a recent cross Canada tour and over 80 performances since their debut release, The Bitterweed Draw’s live energetic performances has captured the hearts of new and old fans alike.

Luke Thompson http://www.lukethompsonmusic.com/

I want to give these songs the best start in life they can get, I want people to hear them and hopefully connect with them. Lately I have come to realize that I don’t make music for money… Sometimes I make money from music, but it’s not why I make music. It’s not the main reward. The main reward is when someone shares with me how they connected with a song, or felt the same way I did. That’s when I feel most useful as a person.

So this album is free.

Feel free to share it with your friends and family. if you want to pay something for it click donate below. Or just buy somebody an ice-cream this week or donate to a charity give some money to a stranger etc etc etc.

I hope you like it. I hope it makes you feel something.
