Celeigh
Cardinal is a prairie girl through and through. Blues and Jazz roots
dig deep through her heartfelt folk songs. This sultry singer/songwriter
is easily one of the finest vocalists to hail from the Peace Country.
Her music is as inspired by the wind that whistles through evergreen
trees as it is by the heartbreak/joy of love and pain/euphoria of
vulnerability. She has achieved numerous credits
over her 13+ performing years. Celeigh won the Sun FM Star Search with
her band “Bella Bella” and was also named the Cultural Ambassador for
Arctic Winter Games 2010 for her artistic and cultural contributions.
The latter led to monumental performances for thousands of youth from
all over the world. She was awarded with an Aboriginal Youth Role Model
Award in 2010 in Grande Prairie for her dedication to Arts, music and
creativity. She has opened for the Beach Boys, Buffy St. Marie,
Econoline Crush, Dr. Hook, Hey Ocean, Matt Andersen, Del Barber and
more. She has also shared festival stages with Matt Mayes & El
torpedo, Sam Roberts, 3 Days Grace, Default, Wide Mouth Mason, The
Trews, Mobile, Five Alarm Funk and many more. She has performed live on
CBC, Free FM, Q99, Rock FM, and CJSR inspiriting those stations to keep
her music on rotation, as well as at CKUA, and PeaceFM. She has proudly
performed for the former Lt. Governor of Alberta, The Honourable Norman
Lim Kwong and the former Premier of Alberta, Ed Stelmach. She is a
passionate performer who can evoke a plethora of emotions with her rich
contralto voice. Singing is what this woman was born to do, and it is
evident in every performance. She is currently based out of Edmonton,
Alberta and continues to perform solo, duo or with her band.
