As a founding member, Alyssa helped establish a YWCA Girls’ Club in Lethbridge which has expanded to include chapters in cities across Canada. Alyssa was recently appointed the GirlSpace ambassador for the YWCA.

While no definitive measurements are possible, Alyssa’s past and present support of anti-bullying campaigns and Kid’s Help Phone campaigns has hopefully made a difference to at least some teenagers and young adults.

Further, her contribution to causes such as Breast Cancer research, International Women’s Day, Red Cross and so on, has made her a sought-after participant at many of the events sponsored by these causes.

3:00 PM – Shaela Miller and the Band (country roots) http://www.prairiesentimentalist.com/

Despite its origin far south of the tundra Treeline (Lethbridge) is a testament to a common yet atypical prairie landform; marking property lines, breaking wind and providing shade over the horseshoe pit.   For the past five years the honky-tonk sympathizing southern Alberta quartet has been marinating in the underbelly of the Western Canadian Music Scene. Drawing comparisons to successful prairie artists to come before them like the Corb Lund and Old Reliable, it's no surprise that Treeline cites the pioneers of the country-roots tradition like Merle Haggard and Gram Parsons as primary influences.   Members include Shaela Miller (Guitar/ vocals), Danny Dyck (Steel guitar),Tyler Bird (Bass accordion, fiddle), Taylor Ackerman (Guitar) and drummer Clayton Smith.

4:00 PM – Karen Romanchuk
 (country/ roots) https://www.reverbnation.com/karenromanchuk

Karen Romanchuk is an Alberta, Canada, folk, blues and country music singer and songwriter. Influenced by Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams, her songwriting has developed into her own unique sound. She travelled the road with a cover band..now performs her own songs with passion and her only hope is to touch someone with her music.

Karen has added some amazing credentials to her resume throughout her career including opening slots for Willie P. Bennett, Gaye Delorme, Katherine Wheatley, Wendell Ferguson (7 time CCMA guitar player of the year, who also graces her cd "Dance"), Leeroy Stagger, The Good Lovelies (Juno award winners) and Jill Barber just to name a few.

Karen was the 4th member of Sirens of Song in a Lethbridge, Alberta show which included Juno award winners Melanie Doane, Lynn Miles and Catherine MacLellan.

Karen was chosen as one of only 60 people, businesses, etc. to represent Lethbridge in the visit Lethbridge campaign for 2011. She appeared in brochures, ads and billboards throughout Alberta and BC to promo the city.

Karen would also like to praise her vocal coach, Brian Farrell, who has worked with the likes of Paul Brandt and Kalan Porter. Brian has been a very positive influence to her career.

Karen is a singer/songwriter that you do not want to miss! Pick up a copy of her CD from 2014 called "Down the Line".

Breanne, also known as the "Urban Cowgirl" was born and raised in Lethbridge, AB. She has had a deep passion for music since an early childhood. When she was nine she started singing the national anthems at many games and ceremonies and then realized that sharing with the world her love of music was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. From then on, she envisioned herself singing in the spotlight of the Grand Ole' Opry.
